In the four ANMOL NARI EVAM YUVA VIKAS KENDRA at Gagan Vihar, Harsh Vihar, Mollarband, Kalyanpuri & Sehatpur our aim is to empower women through income generating activities. It is an integrated approach to train women to make them self-sustainable. We conduct activities like computer education in collaboration with NIIT, Dress making, Zardozi, Adda work, Beauty culture, Adult literacy, Personality development, Spoken English, Health Camps, child care, legal aid, Awareness programmes and Information about various govt. schemes along with the formation of Self-help groups. In every new group a few more women find their voice and move towards self-reliance by training themselves in various skills eg. savings and credit, loaning and inter loaning etc. After the completion of the course women are either self-employed or are working in various export houses, retail chains, boutiques and MNC’s.

Recreation centre for senior citizen works towards the care of the elderly with the aim of providing them a place where they come and spend their time leisurely, share their real life experiences, play various games like ludo, chess, and carom, read newspaper and watch TV as per their desire with others in the same age group, we also organize religious, cultural and awareness programmes alongwith, free health check-ups.

We are also a part of Delhi State Aids Control Society (DSACS) and are working with 1250 female sex workers and in Kalyanpuri, East Delhi. We as a part of the target intervention programme try to instill in them the desire for a healthy life by practicing safer sexual methods because the knowledge of HIV/AIDS is limited.

We run Prof Janardan Prasad BAL Vikas Shiksha Kendra in different locations in New Delhi & Haryana. The purpose of this programme is to give sustainable education to disadvantaged children from 4-18 years, especially girls in communities, largely migrants. It is an initiative that brings the joy of exploration, discovery and lifelong learning to children who are first generation learners, lacking opportunities or access to good quality education. These schools are delivering the best in learning, vocational skills and support for mainstreaming the children from poor households into formal education. Since most of the slums are not served by even a primary level school, the children living in these areas are either earning a living by the side of their parents, or are looking after younger siblings, or simply idling away in safe environments, so we provide integrated quality education which is relevant to their needs. Even if they are sent to school, a majority of them drop out by class 5 since the structured school system is difficult to cope with and they get no help from their parents, who are mostly non-literate.

We run Prof Janardan Prasad Bal Vikas Shiksha Kendra in Ballabhgarh, Haryana, in collaboration with Avery Weight-Tronx we provide basic education and remedial classes to undervipriveleged Children in the community. It is an initiative that brings the joy of exploration, discovery and lifelong learning to children who are first generation learners, lacking opportunities or access to good quality education.

Sakaar Outreach’s Shiksha Kendra is operational in Delhi Public School premises at Vadodara, Gujarat with the same facilities and faculty available to the ‘regular’ students of DPS. The Shiksha Kendra is based on the philosophy of inculcating life skills in children and making learning a joyful process. Its flexibility helps the children (from pre-school to primary school) to enjoy learning. It gives them the freedom to take the initiative to explore. We have an integrated curriculum that has shown good results. Children play games, take part in drama and hold exhibitions. At Shiksha Kendra we provide stationeries, uniforms, school bags, shoes and food free of cost to the children.

Financial Literacy Prog: We are also focusing on women empowerment through financial literacy and the benefits being extended to all irrespective of class, community, creed or religion and for general public utility.

Mahila Panchayat Program in collaboration with Delhi Commission of Women we provide direct support to women experiencing abuse and injustice through our women, law and social change program. In this program women and men get opportunity to speak openly and fearlessly, disputes are reresolved through interventions and arbitrations.
